Instructional as well as fun! Our marine biology science institute will host your group for snorkeling instruction, tide-pooling, sea-kayaking instructions, natural history adventures, plankton sampling, guided ethno-botany and ornithology walks and an interpretive deep water adventure on the 43' Coast Guard certified vessel, Navigator.

Spieden Island is a very special and exclusive private island that exists within the rain shadow of the Olympic Peninsula. Accessible by both plane and boat, the island's serenity, simplicity and luxury will be as memorable as the spectacular sunsets each night. Principle facilities at Island Institute include a large lodge for dining and educational programs, ten large, comfortable safari-style tents with wooden floors, several cottages, a boathouse, marina and an airstrip.
